Lukisan dinding kuno di sebuah kuil di Cina dilukis ulang menjadi figur kartun.

Dua pejabat di Cina telah dipecat karena secara tidak sah "merestorasi" sisa-sisa lukisan dinding di sebuah kuil yang berusia berabad-abad, demikian laporan media pemerintah.

Lukisan ini berada di dalam sebuah kuil berusia 270 tahun di timur laut provinsi Liaoning, dan berasal dari periode awal Dinasti Qing (1644-1911).

Lukisan ini telah benar-benar dilukis ulang dengan gambar kartun yang menyerupai tokoh Tao.
Kasus ini terbongkar oleh seorang blogger yang dijuluki Wujiaofeng dan telah menimbulkan kecaman luas di Cina.
Blogger itu mengunggah foto-foto lukisan setelah proses restorasi dan membandingkannya dengan gambar aslinya.
Seorang pejabat yang membidangi kuil dan kepala tim pemantau warisan budaya di kota Chaoyang, kota tempat kuil ini berada, dipecat karena kejadian ini, Global Times melaporkan.
Kepala Partai Komunis yang bertanggung jawab untuk pemandangan daerah sekitar kuil juga telah diberi peringatan, demikian surat kabar tersebut mengutip pejabat kota, Li Haifeng.
Pemerintah daerah di Chaoyang segera meluncurkan investigasi setelah foto-foto lukisan baru muncul di internet, Global Times melaporkan.
