Keluarga Steve Jobs tidak keberatan dengan langkah penetapan yang dilakukan oleh Komisi Sejarah Sillicon Valley.

Sebuah rumah di California yang pernah menjadi tempat bagi pengembangan komputer Apple pertama oleh Steve Jobs telah ditetapkan sebagai lokasi bersejarah oleh Komisi Sejarah Silicon Valley.

Perubahan apa pun terhadap bangunan yang memiliki gaya rumah peternanakan di Los Altos tersebut harus melalui kajian oleh komisi sejarah.

Rumah Jobs tersebut kini telah menjadi salah satu tempat yang menarik kunjungan wisatawan.
 Jobs mendirikan Apple pada tahun 1976 dan meninggal dunia pada usia 56 tahun pada tahun 2011 lalu.
Pejabat di Los Altos kepada BBC mengatakan saudara perempuan Jobs yang kini memiliki rumah tersebut mengatakan tidak keberatan dengan kebijakan tersebut.
Sebelumnya keputusan tentang penetapan rumah Jobs sebagai sebuah situs bersejarah telah disetujui oleh komisi itu dengan posisi satu orang menyatakan absen.
"Ini adalah sesuatu yang bisa dibanggakan oleh komunitas di sini," kata Zachary Dahl dari Komisi Sejarah Silicon Valley kepada BBC.

Mereka merancang komputer tersebut di ruang tamu dan garasi rumah tersebut.
Saat ini Apple telah pindah ke Cupertino. Dahl mengatakan ibu tiri Jobs saat ini tinggal di rumah tersebut.

Dahl says stepmother Jobs currently living in the house .
