Koleksi sebanyak 1.500 karya seni yang disita oleh Nazi pada tahun 1930an dan 1940 an telah ditemukan di Munich Jerman, seperti dilaporkan media.

Harta karun tersebut diyakini meliputi karya Matisse, Picasso dan Chagall, seperti laporan majalah Focus.

Beberapa karya dinyatakan sebagai karya yang dianggap bernuansa merendahkan oleh Nazi, sementara yang lain dicuri dari atau dijual paksa dengan harga murah oleh kolektor seni Yahudi.

Penyelidik pajak

Majalah tersebut menulis karya seni ini ditemukan tidak sengaja pada awal tahun 2011, oleh penyidik pajak.
Otoritas pajak menyelidiki Cornelius Gurlitt, seorang anak pemilik galeri seni yang gemar menyendiri.
