Merayakan Ulang Tahun - Celebrating Birthday

“Barangsiapa yang melakukan suatu amalan yang tidak kami perintahkan, maka ia tertolak” (HR. Muslim).
Perayaan ulang tahun apapun bentuknya baik perorangan maupun organisasi adalah perbuatan yang tidak sejalan dengan Islam. Sepanjang sejarah Islam, tidak ada satu pun ulama shalih yang melaksanakan ulang tahun. Ulang tahun termasuk ritual agama luar Islam. Karena itu kita diingatkan oleh sabda Rasulullah Saw.:
“Barangsiapa yang menyerupai suatu kaum, maka ia termasuk kaum itu”. (HR. Bukhari Muslim).
Hadits ini mengisyaratkan agar kita jauh dari perilaku orang-orang luar Islam terutama Yahudi dan Nasrani. Hati-hati terhadap tipu dayanya.
“Dari Abi Sa’id Al-Khudri, ia berkata: ‘Telah bersabda Rasulullah Saw.: ‘Sesungguhnya benar-benar kamu nanti akan mengikuti cara-cara orang sebelum kamu, sejengkal demi sejengkal dan sehasta demi sehasta, hingga seandainya mereka itu masuk ke liang biawak, niscaya kamu akan mengikuti mereka.’ Kami (para sahabat) bertanya: ‘Ya Rasulullah! Apakah orang-orang yang sebelum kami itu ialah Yahudi dan Nasrani?’ Nabi menjawab: ’ kalau bukan mereka siapa lagi?” (HR. Muslim).
Rasulullah Saw. tidak pernah merayakan kelahirannya sendiri, perayaan kemenangan di perang Badar, dan tidak pernah merayakan Isra Mi’raj serta Nuzulul Qur’an. Bahkan dalam sebuah hadits berikut ini disebutkan: “Seorang Yahudi pernah datang kepada Umar bin Khatab ra, lalu berkata: ’Wahai Amirul Mukminin, ada salah satu ayat dalam kitab kalian yang kalian biasa membacanya. Jika sekiranya ayat itu turun kepada kami (bangsa Yahudi), niscaya kami jadikan hari turunnya sebagai hari raya” (HR. Bukhari).
Maksud orang Yahudi dengan ayat tersebut adalah ayat 3 dalam surat Al-Maidah berbunyi:
“Pada hari ini telah Aku sempurnakan bagimu agamamu dan telah kucukupkan nikmat padamu dan Aku ridla Islam sebagai agamamu.” (QS. Al-Maidah: 3)
Mendengar pengakuan orang Yahudi itu, Umar tidak lantas memerintahkan umat Islam untuk merayakan hari turunnya ayat itu karena sadar Rasulullah Saw. juga tidak pernah merayakannya.
Ayat tersebut memang sangat besar artinya bagi umat Islam dan merupakan ayat terakhir yang turun kepada Rasulullah Saw. Namun hari yang sangat agung ini saja tidak pernah dirayakan apalagi hari-hari biasa seperti kelahiran, kematian dan perkawinan.
Perayaan ulang tahun baik kelahiran pribadi maupun organisasi, ulang tahun pernikahan dan kematian seseorang tidak dikenal dalam Islam. Namun dalam kenyataannya masih banyak umat Islam yang melakukan perayaan ini. Padahal sesuatu perbuatan, baik yang mengatasnamakan ibadah maupun tidak mengatasnamakan, yang tidak dicontohkan Rasulullah Saw. adalah bid’ah. Setiap bid’ah itu sesat dan setiap yang sesat pasti kembali ke neraka.
Perayaan hari jadi atau ulang tahun yang biasa dilakukan di masyarakat Indonesia dan termasuk perilaku bid’ah adalah: Hari ulang tahun kelahiran sendiri, kawin perunggu, perak, dan emas (ulang tahun pernikahan berdasarkan tenggang waktu), maulud Nabi Muhammad Saw., Nuzulul Qur’an, Isra Mi’raj, khaul (ulang tahun kematian seseorang), dan tiluna, tujuhna, serta natusna (setelah kematian seseorang), milad organisasi, dan perayaan hari kemerdekaan.
Kebiasaan merayakan hari ulang tahun adalah kebiasaan umat Nasrani/Kristen yang tidak layak diikuti oleh umat Islam. Namun jika ternyata umat Islam ikut-ikutan seperti mereka, maka itu sudah termasuk tasabbuh atau peniruan yang hukumnya haram.
Pertanyaannya, maukah kita disamakan dengan Yahudi dan Nasrani? Jika tidak, maka hentikan berbagai perbuatan yang tidak dicontohkan oleh Rasulullah Saw.

" We ( the Companions ) asked : ' O Messenger of Allah ! Are the people before us it is the Jews and the Christians ? ' The Prophet replied : ' if it was not them who else ? " ( Narrated by Muslim ) .Prophet. never celebrated his birth itself , the celebration of the victory in the battle of Badr , and never celebrate the Ascension of the Prophet and the Revelation of the Qur'an . Even in a hadith mentioned the following : " A Jew once came to 'Umar bin Khatab ra , and said : ' O Commander of the Faithful , there is one paragraph in your book that you read ordinary . If it were the verses came to us ( the Jews ) , we inevitably fall days make it a feast " ( Narrated by Bukhari ) .Jews intent with the verse is verse 3 in surah Al - Maidah reads :" This day I have perfected for you your religion and have kucukupkan favors you and I ridla Islam as your religion . But in reality there are many Muslims who do this celebration . Though a deed , whether or not on behalf of behalf of worship , which is not exemplified the Prophet. is heresy . Every innovation is misguided and every misguided definitely go back to hell .Anniversary or birthday usual in Indonesian society , including behavioral and heresy are : Birthdays own birth , marriage bronze , silver , and gold ( wedding anniversary based on the grace period ) , maulud Prophet Muhammad . , Revelation of the Qur'an 'an , Isra Mi'raj , khaul ( anniversary of the death of a person ) , and tiluna , tujuhna , and natusna ( after the death of a person ) , milad organization , and the celebration of independence Day .Habit of celebrating a birthday is the custom of Christians / unworthy Christians followed by Muslims . But if it turns out Muslims as they went along , then it is included tasabbuh or imitation that is haraam .The question is , will we be equated with Jews and Christians ? If not , then stop acts that are not exemplified by the Prophet.
