Orang tua yang sangat
bersemangat ketika menghadiri acara pertandingan di sekolah anak
ternyata berdampak buruk bagi psikologis anak.
Leonard Blom, mantan pebalap sepeda
internasional memperingatkan para orang tua untuk "berhenti berteriak"
dan "mengontrol emosi mereka."Untuk itu ia menuliskan panduan bagi para orang tua untuk menyemangati anak mereka sewajarnya pada acara-acara olahraga sekolah.
Blom menggambarkan ada seorang ayah yang begitu bersemangat menonton pertandingan rugby hingga ia mengintervensi pertandingan itu.
"Kadang kita perlu mundur dan tidak terlalu terlibat secara emosional."
"Pemenang sesungguhnya dalam olahraga - dan dalam kehidupan sebenarnya - adalah mereka yang berperilaku penuh martabat, baik menang maupun kalah."
Semangat para orang tua yang berlebihan ini juga memicu kekhawatiran dari asosiasi sepakbola Inggris (FA) yang mengatakan orang tua perlu tetap mengendalikan diri mereka.
Pada tahun 2012, FA memberikan bantuan senilai £200.000 untuk sebuah program yang disebut "Respect Barriers" (menghormati batasan) bertujuan untuk mencegah para orangtua bertindak menggurui selama pertandingan.
Sementara Blom mengatakan sebaiknya para orangtua mendudukkan sesuatu pada tempatnya.
"Ini bukan Piala Dunia," kata dia, "ini hanya pertandingan di sekolah. Berlakulah selayaknya."

" The real winner in the sport - and in real life - are those who behave with dignity , either win or lose . "
The spirit of the old man excessive also sparked fears of English football association ( FA ) which says parents need to remain in control of themselves .
In 2012 , the FA provide assistance worth £ 200,000 for a program called " Respect Barriers " ( in honor of limitation ) aims to prevent the parents act patronizing during the game .
While Blom said parents should sit something in place .
" It's not the World Cup , " he said , " is the only game in school . Berlakulah properly . "
