Ilmuwan telah menemukan kerangka-kerangka manusia yang menyerupai hobbit (manusia kerdil di Film/Novel Lord of The Ring) yang ukurannya tidak lebih besar dari anak usia 3 tahun di sebuah gua. Manusia kerdil yang memiliki tengkorak seukuran segerombol anggur, hidup dengan gajah purba dan komodo di pulau terpencil di Indonesia sekitar 18.000 tahun yang lalu.
Kerangka yang ditemukan adalah milik seorang wanita dengan tinggi 1 meter, berat sekitar 25 kilogram dan berumur sekitar 30 tahun ketika meninggal 18.000 tahun yang lalu.
Ini adalah temuan spektakuler dan yang paling ekstrim yang pernah diberitakan !!!! Bagaimana tidak? Spesies ini telah mendiami pulau komodo pada masa di mana manusia modern (homo sapiens) juga telah ada di Indonesia (95.000 - 13.000 tahun yang lalu).
Selain menemukan kerangka, ilmuwan juga menemukan peralatan batu seperti pisau, alat pelubang, alat pemotong untuk berburu stegedon (gajah purba).
Banyaknya spesies manusia yang tidak saling berhubungan dalam rantai evolusi menimbulkan tanda tanya, ada berapa jenis makhluk menyerupai manusia yang hidup di Jaman Prasejarah Indonesia... dan mengapa mereka punah tanpa meninggalkan keturunan.

Orang-orang purba yang mendiami wilayah Sumatra telah melukiskan sesosok makhluk dengan jengger yang memiliki ekor dan leher yang panjang. Beberapa makhluk ini menyerupai hadrosaurs. Dalam karyas seni purba ini digambarkan bahwa beberapa Corythosaurus sedang diburu oleh orang-orang purba di Indonesia.

Hal ini masih diperdebatkan ahli karena banyak yang beranggapan dinosaurus tidak hidup sejaman dengan manusia purba.....
kalau berdasarkan fakta penemuan artefak memang terlambat gan...
padahal fosil pithecanthropus erectus yang didapatkan di Sangiran, Jawa Tengah adalah termasuk fosil tertua yang berhasil ditemukan di muka bumi, meskipun para ahli menganggap bahwa nenek moyang manusia bukan berasal dari pithecantropus erectus tetapi berasal dari spesies lain di afrika sono.
padahal harusnya peradaban di Indonesia paling gak seumuran dengan bangsa2 sumeria, mesopotamia atau cina dengan menilik penemuan fosil2 yang sangat tua itu. mengingat di daerah2 tersebut atau yangwilayah yang bersekatan juga ditemukan fosil2 manusia purba yang umurnya sangat tua, meskipun lebih tua pithecanthropus erectus.
dengan ditemukannya fosil2 lain yang tidak dapat dijelaskan posisinya dalam proses evolusi dan kepunahan spesiesnya yang misterius, mungkinkah kalau di Indonesia dulunya terjadi bencana alam yang dahsyat sehingga melenyapkan peradaban tinggi yang mungkin dulu pernah ada ???
Seperti teori benua atlantis dulunya berada di wilayah Indonesia sekarang. Mengingat Indonesia berada di 2 lempeng benua yang rawan bencana gempa tektonik yang mampu menimbulkan tsunami dahsyat dan juga banyaknya bekas2 kawah besar seperti danau toba, lembah seputaran candi borobudur, danau kelimutu dan banyak yang lainnya menunjukkan bahwa dahulu kala pernah terjadi letusan2 gunung api yang dahsyat dan mampu menimbulkan gempa volkanik.
