kanker payudara, ungkap sebuah studi di Amerika Serikat.

Fakultas Kesehatan Masyarakat di Universitas Harvard, Boston, saat
mengkaji kesehatan 3.000 perempuan yang mengidap kanker payudara.Meski demikian, temuan itu diragukan sejumlah peneliti Inggris.
Profesor Tim Key, seorang ahli epidemiologi dari Universitas Oxford, mengatakan kaitan antara konsumsi daging merah dan kanker payudara “cukup lemah” dan “tidak cukup kuat mengubah bukti masa lalu yang menemukan bahwa tiada kaitan antara keduanya.”
Profesor Valerie Beral, direktur Pusat Epidemiologi di Universitas Oxford, menerangkan bahwa lusinan studi telah menyoroti keterkaitan risiko payudara dengan pola makan.
“Bukti yang ada mengindikasikan konsumsi daging merah sedikit atau tidak berdampak pada kanker payudara,” kata Beral.
Dari hasil penelitian beberapa waktu lalu, konsumsi daging merah dalam jumlah banyak meningkatkan risiko kanker usus besar.
